5 Ways To Get Motivated For Your Workout

Not feeling like going to your workout today? Just can’t seem to put on your Lulus and shoes? We all suffer from a lack of “beast mode” mindset from time to time. Not to worry, try any…or all of these suggestions and you’ll be running to the gym in no time.

5 Ways To Get Motivated For A Workout
  1. Eat- You may just be suffering from a bit of low blood sugar. It’s important to eat within 2 hours of a workout to have the energy you need to get those legs moving. Try half of a turkey sandwich if you have 1-2 hours before you get going. If you need a quick snack, an apple with almond butter can be a perfect amount to give you a boost.
  2. Music- It is scientifically proven that music can get you through a workout, but it can also get you to your workout. Pump some Beyonce or J Lo and you’ll be hopping into your leggings faster that we can say “bootylicious”.
  3. Partner- Make an appointment with a workout friend. Knowing that someone is expecting you will give you motivation to not let her down. Chances are she’s not feeling up to burpees today either.
  4. Cup of Joe- Sometimes you just need a few sips of some caffeine to give you a lift. If you drink it before 4pm, a cup of coffee shouldn’t interfere with your night’s sleep. The energy will last for a few hours. BONUS.…caffeine helps you release fast cells into your blood stream making them assessable to burning off (remember, more is not always better;)
  5. Just Show Up- Pull yourself up by your “athletic shoe laces”, put one foot in front of the other and just show up to your workout. Start slow. If you planned to run 5 miles on the treadmill, cut yourself some slack and start walking. Chances are those endorphins will start pumping and you’ll be pushing the speed up button ready to get into “Beast Mode”.

Have a great workout!
